I would play this game more often if it weren't for the ads! they are just atrocious in this game! most make you click next, then next again, and then Googel Playstore pops up and you have to back out of that and then still close another part of the ad. more recently, the "ad" is just a complete black screen! no option to close, etc...so just have to close the app and start again. and there's an ad after pretty much every game. it's overwhelming honestly.

Soooo many ads!!!! It's crazy!!! Ad after every single game even if you get it right, and if you get it wrong or fail and want to continue? AD!!! Also setup is very simple and minimal (very boring looking) so I don't really understand the high ratings, it's not worth it trust me. Going back to NYT games, much better! UPDATE: thanks for the response, I'm ok with ads to keep it free it just needs way less of them, maybe 1 every 3-5 levels or something not every single time

I was looking for a word/puzzle game with variety and a little challenge. This game really hit the spot! Ads are short and not after every single puzzle, which I appreciate. It was a 5 star from me until the newest update. Seems like "Secret Word" has changed as far as the way the remaining letters are displayed. You also can't go straight to the hard puzzle after you finish the daily. It freezes and drains the battery. Not a good move.
